I’m really excited about my missions this week. Less insightful than last week perhaps, but more practical.
This week its about cleaning out the clutter. I feel so much better, and I think lots of people do, when my space is clear and organized. So this week, my daily missions are around tackling undone items that create stress in my life.
Dailies
- Go through the house and take two things from each room to donate or give to a friend.
- Create the “Power Hour” list and post it on the fridge.
- Clean off the dining room table AND clean out my purse
- Go through all the art/photos and collect the ones to be framed and hung up.
- Clean out my work email
- Clean off dresser and nightstand
Weekly
- Complete my first “Power Hour”
This list might seem like small things that won’t make much of a difference, but remember, these daily missions are supposed to be short missions that can be completed quickly. And I’m willing to bet that checking a few things off the to do list will be very cathartic 🙂
And if you’re wondering what this “Power Hour” thing is, check out Gretchen Rubin’s Podcast, “Happier”, which explores this idea.
If you’re a little more ambitious, see this Spring Cleaning Checklist I found. Personally, this feels like a project that would take me three months. But maybe there are some things on the list to consider in weekend spring cleaning.
Thanks for reading! And feel free to play along and do your own daily and weekly missions.
